ACIM+ is for people who read, listen to, and meditate with A Course in Miracles every day. The Text, the Workbook, and the Manual for Teachers are all here, and when a passage stops you, you can ask about it right where you are. ■ Read it, and leave a mark Underline the sentences that reach you and bookmark the paragraphs you'll come back to. The app remembers where you stopped, so next time the book opens at that spot. For a hard chapter, read the key points and the summary first, then go into the text. Choose the font and type size you like, and switch to dark mode when you want. ■ Today's lesson, already open The Workbook is one lesson a day for a year. Turn on calendar mode and today's lesson opens by itself, whether you count from January 1 or from where you are now. ■ Today's idea on your home screen, without opening the app The home-screen widget shows the title of today's Workbook lesson. You see it every time you unlock your phone, so you can come back to the idea for today as often as you like. It comes in a small and a medium size. ■ When your eyes tire, listen All three books are read aloud (AI voice, with subtitles), and playback continues with the screen off. Start it at bedtime and the sleep timer turns it off at the time you set. In the morning, today's Workbook lesson plays at the time you choose, like an alarm. ■ Ask right where you are Ask about the paragraph you're reading, and the answer is based on that paragraph. Common questions are ready as suggested prompts, so one tap is enough. Conversations are saved, and each one takes you back to its passage. ■ After reading, a quiet place to stay Set the meditation timer and sit with an ambient sound. How long you sat today, and how long in all, is kept in your statistics. ■ Reminders that follow the lesson A notification comes at the times you set, on the hour, or at random moments through the day, to bring today's idea back to mind. You can choose the sound too. ■ Keeping the thread is the practice Read, listen, or meditate, and even one of them a day keeps your streak alive. The monthly calendar shows what you did on which day, and the encouragement changes as your streak grows. ■ Badges to collect A badge unlocks when your streak reaches 7, 30, 100, and 365 days, from "First Miracle" to "Miracle Worker" at the end of a full Workbook year. Meditation is counted separately: from "Quiet Seed" at one hour to "Full Bloom" at 500, the lotus opens as your sitting time adds up. ■ About A Course in Miracles Helen Schucman, a clinical psychologist at Columbia University, wrote it down from an inner voice between 1965 and 1972 with the help of her colleague William Thetford, and it was first published in 1975. Through forgiveness it changes how we see the world, and leads from separation to the experience of Oneness. The Text sets out the thought system, the Workbook trains the mind with one lesson a day for a year, and the Manual for Teachers answers the questions students ask most often. ■ About the text in this app The English text in this app is the first edition of A Course in Miracles (1975), which a U.S. federal court held to be in the public domain. The Preface, the Clarification of Terms, and the supplements of later editions are not included. The translations, summaries, and narration were made for this app; they are not the authorized translations of the Foundation for Inner Peace. "ACIM" is used here as the common abbreviation of the book's title. This app is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Foundation for Inner Peace or any other Course organization.
