Miss the character you used to get from older iPhone photos? Bring a second old phone on trips just for the camera? Tried an ‘old iPhone look’ app, only to be disappointed because it looked nothing like the real thing? iY2K was built differently. We bought a range of real older iPhone models and directly compared thousands of shots. This is not a filter made by guessing at the mood. We studied the noise, bloom, color and sharpness that gave each camera its character, then carefully rebuilt those details. We kept the character and eased off the drawbacks. Harsh bloom and excessive noise are toned down, while the parts people love about older cameras stay. You can also bring in photos you have already taken and apply the old-phone look later. Even there, looking through the viewfinder is free — a frame is used only when you press the shutter. A cardboard camera takes a roll of 27 frames and an instant look a pack of 8, and an instant frame is saved as a square photograph inside a white instant-print border. The monthly unlimited pass and the lifetime unlock cover all ten. Shooting and editing are processed on your device, with no account or in-app ads. Only with your tracking permission, the Meta SDK sends device identifiers and app activation/purchase events to measure advertising performance. Declining does not affect camera or purchase features. Photos and capture locations are not sent to Meta. Apple handles purchases; the developer does not receive card or payment-method details.
