Sleevi turns the signals your Apple Watch already records overnight into three plain answers every morning: how well you recovered, how you slept, and what you can ask of the day ahead. THREE RINGS, ONE GLANCE Recovery (0–100), Sleep (0–100) and Readiness (0–10) sit side by side at the top of Today. Each is one tap away from its full breakdown. BUILT ON THE NEWEST SIGNALS HRV (RMSSD on watchOS 27, SDNN before), resting and overnight heart rate, respiratory rate, sleeping wrist temperature, blood oxygen, breathing disturbances and Apple's sleep apnea notifications, sleep stages, workouts and VO₂ max — read straight from Apple Health. SIGNAL, NOT NOISE Every score is measured against your own baseline, never against population averages. And the score only moves for deviations that matter — beyond your personal noise band and a physiological minimum. A cooler wrist never counts against you. APPLE INTELLIGENCE, ON DEVICE Your morning insight is written by Apple's on-device Foundation Model from last night's facts: two or three calm sentences and one concrete suggestion for the day. Nothing leaves your iPhone. Without the model, a rule-based insight steps in — and says so. GOOD MORNING The morning summary waits until your Watch has synced every signal, so the number you see at 7:03 is the number that stays. Illness early warning, low-recovery and short-sleep alerts, and a Sunday report follow the same rule: one per night, never nagging. BEDTIME, PLANNED Sleevi works out tonight's bedtime from how much sleep you need and when you have to be up — your usual wake time or, if you like, tomorrow's first calendar event. Three gentle steps: wind down, one more step, bed. And in the evening it listens to your heart rate and HRV; once they settle near your night levels, it tells you your body is ready. ILLNESS, A DAY EARLY When several overnight signals drift the wrong way at once — a warmer wrist, a higher resting pulse, faster breathing, suppressed HRV — Sleevi tells you before you feel it. A pattern, not a diagnosis: it never names a condition and always points you to a clinician if you feel unwell. SLEEP, TRENDS, HABITS Stages, quality breakdown, sleep debt and naps. Every metric over 30 days to a year against your personal range. Tag last night — alcohol, late meal, sick — and run experiments with real before/after statistics. A REPORT FOR YOUR DOCTOR One tap creates a printable PDF of the last 30 days: averages against your personal range, trend charts, and a night-by-night table with every flag. EVERYWHERE Home and Lock Screen widgets, a native Apple Watch app with complications and Smart Stack relevance, and an iPad layout built as a dashboard. Six languages. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no server, no analytics. Health and Calendar data stay on your device. Sleevi is for information only and not a medical device. It cannot diagnose illness, sleep apnea or any condition. If you feel unwell, talk to a doctor. Requires an Apple Watch with sleep tracking. Apple Intelligence features require a supported iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled. https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Download and instantly look back at roughly the last 7 days of sleep — no waiting, your sleep report is right there when you open the app. Beyond automatic tracking, you can add entries on the timeline, drag to adjust them, and tag them as Reading, Exercise, or Entertainment. The app automatically tracks your sleep at night: when you fall asleep, when you wake up, and how long you slept — all recorded on the timeline. Sleep ratings are based on your sleep duration between 9 PM and 9 AM the next morning — Lion, Dog, Boar, Owl make your sleep quality clear at a glance. No manual steps needed — just put your phone down and sleep. It works without an Apple Watch, and gets more accurate with one. Key features: • Sleep tracking: automatic records of bedtime, wake time, and duration • Timeline entries: long-press to add a record, drag either end to fine-tune the time; tag it as Reading, Exercise, or Entertainment • Animal ratings: four animals show your sleep at a glance • Calendar review: see every day and every segment at a glance • Home screen widgets: Sleep Clock, Monthly View, Lion Box, Recent 7 Days, Sleep Brief, and more • Monthly statistics: review the whole month and find your personal "sleep sweet spot" • Sleep sounds: built-in playlists — tap the vinyl and it plays, with sleep timer, lock screen, and AirPlay controls Your sleep data stays on your device and syncs between your devices through iCloud (encrypted by Apple). We never touch your personal data. —— AnimalSleep © water Acknowledgments: Lynn — conversations about sleep and daily rhythms inspired the idea for this app. Kevin — my work buddy. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sleevi at none against AnimalSleep's 2. Sleevi also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (daily vs every 2 days). AnimalSleep's advantage is review sentiment (92% vs 58%). On price, ratings volume, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. AnimalSleep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Sleevi asks for nothing beyond the download.
Sleevi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Sleevi's written reviews are positive against 92% of AnimalSleep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Sleevi ships an update daily, AnimalSleep every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
