Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Arc Search at none against Coverage Map's shown. Arc Search also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (25K vs 813). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Arc Search holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arc Search has 25K ratings behind it against 813, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Coverage Map's written reviews are positive against 83% of Arc Search's.
Coverage Map ships an update fortnightly, Arc Search every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
