Map Projection Demonstration This app illustrates a variety of possible map projections. Map projections fall into three general categories: cylindrical projections, conic projections, and azimuthal (or polar) projections. Each category contains several different types of projections. The app demonstrates the creation of maps in 31 different projections, and allows the user to choose the central latitude and longitude for each map. The formulas that are used to convert locations on the surface of a sphere to locations on a flat map are included. There is also a visual demonstration of the conversion process for each of the map types.

Colorium Lab is a hands-on studio for understanding how color works. Explore light, pigment, and human perception through simple, interactive visuals that turn theory into intuition. Learn by adjusting, comparing, and experimenting—then apply what you discover to design, art, and everyday decisions. What You’ll Learn Fundamentals: hue, saturation, brightness, value, temperature, harmony. Systems: how common models (e.g., RGB, CMYK, HSL/HSV) relate. Mixing: additive vs. subtractive behavior and practical takeaways. Perception: contrast, luminance, and how context changes what we see. Palettes: ways to build, refine, and evaluate color choices. Why It Helps Learn faster with feedback you can see and feel. Build real intuition instead of memorizing rules. Make confident color choices for screens, print, and products. Bridge science and creativity with approachable, visual explanations. Made For Students and educators exploring color in STEM or art. Designers, illustrators, and photographers improving palettes and contrast. Developers and makers who want practical color intuition.
