Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Divain at every 2 months against PerfumeSpot's every 15 months. Divain also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). PerfumeSpot's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (78% vs 56%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Divain holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 22 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Divain's written reviews are positive against 78% of PerfumeSpot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Divain ships an update every 2 months, PerfumeSpot every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
