AMSA vs GreenBook

The Alberta Mine Safety Association (AMSA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to support safety leadership in Alberta Mines. This App was built for safety and front line workers, working across Alberta to have easy access to Occupational Health and Safety legislation, relevant incident shares, learnings and best practices. This platform allows for communications to be shared across the province and industry, lessons from incidents to be learned and safety conversations to be had. Resources include Alberta Mine Rescue, OHS and Safety/Incident Shares. This App was built for all safety and front line workers (primarily in Alberta) to have safety information at their fingers tips.

Under 25(2)(i) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.1, employers are required to post a copy of this Act, and any explanatory material prepared by the Ministry, in a conspicuous place at the workplace. A safety board posting that directs users to download this app is downloadable from app main screen - PDF button. GreenBook provides users with access to Ontario's Health and Safety Act and Regulations. The Act and Regulations are searchable and bookmarkable, including a global search across all documents to help you find what you're looking for. The Search function on the home page searches all available documents. Searching in a document will only search that doc. You can highlight a passage of text, preferably a section heading, and click the Bookmark button. These bookmarks can be reordered by holding and dragging. Clicking the "i" button while viewing a doc opens the e-Law website for that doc.
