Pedagram was developed for learning and self-improvement and is best used collaboratively by an instructor (who conducts the session) and observer (who uses the app). The app is not meant to evaluate an individual’s use of technology but provide them with tangible observational data to answer the question, “How do I know if the technology I use in the classroom is making a difference?” Pedagram enables the observer to respond to the same 10 questions every 10 to 15 minutes throughout the session. By the end of a session, the observer, who would have completed several observation cycles, would be presented with a visual report of all the data collected which they can then export as PDF.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Pedagram at 4.0 against Captioo's 2.8. Pedagram also leads on device support. Captioo's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Pedagram holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Captioo has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
