GameDial keeps every game you own in one place and helps you decide what to play next. Add games by searching, or bring your whole Steam library over in one go. Sort them onto shelves: playing, backlog, played, no plans, or wish list. New games land in an inbox so nothing arrives unsorted. THE PART THAT DECIDES FOR YOU Tell GameDial what you feel like playing, in your own words. "Two hours and I don't want to think." "Something I'll actually finish this month." It answers with real games, and says why it picked each one. Left a game half-finished months ago? Describe the last thing you remember and get a spoiler-free recap of the story up to that point, plus an estimate of how far through you are. PLAN THE WHOLE PILE The Backlog Journey lays your backlog out as a route: groups of games to clear, one after another, arranged by genre or by length. Drag games between groups, add your own, and see at a glance which ones are open to start now. KNOW WHAT'S COMING Wish-list games you don't own yet and see their release dates in one calendar, with the option to be reminded the morning something lands. Browse what's coming generally, not just what you already track. BACKLOG INSIGHTS See how many hours you're sitting on, which shelf is holding the most, and the quickest game you could finish this week. FREE AND PREMIUM Free: your whole library, unlimited games, six shelves, swipe or tap triage, Steam import, backlog insights, the upcoming release calendar, and basic play-next picks by shelf and time budget. Premium: ask for a game in your own words, spoiler-free story recaps and progress estimates, the Backlog Journey planner, and release-day reminders. GameDial Premium is an auto-renewing subscription: $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year, each starting with a 1-week free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled any time in your Apple Account settings. Prices are in US dollars and vary by region. YOUR DATA Your library is stored on your device and, if you leave iCloud sync on, in your own iCloud so it follows you between devices. There are no accounts and no sign-up. We run no analytics and no third-party trackers. Game data provided by IGDB.com. About

Playwall

Features

Playwall is the backlog you actually want to open. No streaks to keep. No guilt if you skip a week. No number counting everything you have not finished staring back at you every time you open the app. Just the games you already own, kept somewhere that feels good to look at. Nothing in Playwall is locked behind a subscription. Capture, log, and rate as many games as you want, for free, forever. Night Owl is there if you want to support the person who makes Playwall, never because you have to. CAPTURE THE PILE Add a game once, from your own wall or a quick search, and it takes its place: sharp if you own it, dimmed if it is a wishlist, one tap to move between the two. No folders, no lists to maintain. TONIGHT, NOT SOMEDAY Open Playwall on a quiet evening and it names one game worth starting tonight, not a ranked list to read through. Stop scrolling a storefront you have already scrolled. Start playing something you already own. LOG THE NIGHT IN ONE TAP After you play, log the session in a single tap. No timer running, no diary entry required, just a mark that you played and how the night went. RATE IT IN TWO QUESTIONS Finish a game and Playwall asks two questions, not a five-star form to fill out. That is enough to remember what you thought, and it is what turns a finish into something worth keeping. EVERY FINISH BECOMES A STAR Every game you finish joins a small galaxy you can look back through any time: rate it, log it, and it takes its place among everything else you have played and loved. DECEMBER GETS A RECEIPT At the end of the year, Playwall prints a plain record of what you played, what you finished, and what stood out. A keepsake, not a leaderboard. SUPPORT, NEVER A GATE If you want to support the person who builds Playwall, there are three tiers: Supporter, Night Owl, and Patron. All three unlock the same cosmetic extras, wall themes and a gold galaxy among them. None of them touch the games, the logging, or the ratings, and the higher tiers are a bigger gift, not a bigger app. Terms of Use: https://drnkn.dev/playwall/terms Privacy Policy: https://drnkn.dev/playwall/privacy License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Verdict

The call

GameDial and Playwall are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. GameDial sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Playwall sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
