Padfall is a precision rocket landing game. Guide a reusable booster to a soft, upright touchdown with careful steering and thrust. Steer with the left pad and set thrust with the right. The altitude tape shows a burn bracket: the last altitude where a full vertical burn still stops you at the deck. Light the engine there, manage your sideways drift, and touch down soft, upright and on the pad. • Twenty campaign missions on Earth, the Moon and Mars, unlocked one landing at a time • Moving recovery decks at sea, night recoveries, crosswind and thin Martian air • Thrust and attitude control • Grades for every touchdown: Nominal or Perfect, with a score for softness, centring, attitude and fuel left • Cadence: a chain of drops that climbs higher each time, with a growing score multiplier • Progress and settings are saved on your device • Supported by ads; optional paint schemes for the booster as in-app purchases; no account

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Padfall at 5.0 against Coffee Golf's 4.6. Padfall also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Coffee Golf's advantage is ratings volume (26K vs 3) and chart position (#148 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coffee Golf sells 15 one-off in-app purchases and Padfall sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Padfall holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coffee Golf has 26K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Coffee Golf ships an update every 3 weeks, Padfall every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
