About

Air | Reduce Screen Time

We live in a world designed to compete for our attention. Apps, feeds and notifications can turn a small impulse into long sessions of mindless scrolling. Air turns those mechanics around. Air stands for Awareness Instead of Reactivity. It creates a deliberate pause between impulse and action, so you decide how to use your phone instead of reacting to it. A breath before you scroll When you try to open an app you've chosen to limit, air asks you to take a breath first. A short guided pause gives you space to notice the impulse. Then the choice is yours: keep the app blocked, or unlock it knowing it will cost air some energy. A companion that grows when you don't scroll Air is also your companion, a character that reflects the choices you make with your attention. Keep your rules and build mindful streaks, and Air gains energy and evolves through 14 unique stages. Take a break or turn a rule off, and Air loses energy. It's a simple, visible reflection of your choices, not a judgment. Most digital products use streaks, progression and rewards to make you come back. Air uses them to help you stay away. Your progress reflects the time and attention you protect outside distracting apps. The goal is not to make you use Air more. The goal is to help you need it less. Rules you set yourself Create personal rules for the apps that distract you most. Every rule you keep helps air grow. - Schedule: block apps during specific hours and days - Time limit: set a daily budget or a limit within a specific time window - Open limit: choose how many times an app can be opened and how long each session can last You stay in control. Rules can always be paused or removed, but doing so requires opening air and making a conscious choice. Your usage information stays on your iPhone. Air is not about quitting technology. It's about creating enough space between impulse and action to decide how you want to use it. Take air, don't dumbscroll.
