Hours of footage. A handful of good moments. kite-clipper helps you find them. Point your camera, ride, and let it record. Afterwards, kite-clipper walks through your footage frame by frame, scores each moment with on-device AI, and proposes the sections worth keeping. Approve them with a tap and cut - or pick frames yourself. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE No account. No upload. No cloud processing. Your footage never leaves your iPhone or iPad, which also means it works fine at the beach with no signal - and you never wait on a 4K upload. NO RE-ENCODING Clips are cut with a pass-through export, so the output keeps the original quality and bitrate of your source file. Nothing is re-compressed. TAG WHO AND WHAT Label clips by rider and by trick. kite-clipper totals up the airtime per person and per trick, so you can see at a glance who you have covered and who you have missed before you leave the spot. Tags are written into the exported filenames. CHECK BEFORE YOU CUT Every clip shows a filmstrip of its frames, including the padding that pre-roll and post-roll will add. Tap any frame to zoom in and confirm the trick actually made it into the cut. WORKS WITH THE FOOTAGE YOU ALREADY HAVE Import from Photos or from the Files app, including footage on an SD card reader. Any camera, any action cam - if the video is on your device, kite-clipper can work with it. PICKS UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF Your selections and tags are saved. Come back to the same video later and continue instead of starting over. WHERE THE AI HELPS MOST The scoring model is trained on kiteboarding footage in which the rider is reasonably large in the frame. If you shoot very wide, or from a long way off, the rider may be only a few pixels across - and the automatic suggestions will be sparse or empty. That is deliberate: the threshold is set so the app does not pad your results with low-quality guesses. For those clips, pick the frames yourself. The filmstrip, the tagging and the pass-through export all work exactly the same way. WHAT IT IS NOT kite-clipper is a selection and cutting tool, not a video editor. It does not add music, titles or colour grading, and it does not join clips into one film. Export your clips and finish in LumaFusion, CapCut or whatever you already use. Built by a kiteboarder who got tired of scrubbing through his own footage.
