BelginumAR ist eine Ausstellungs- und Führungs-App für das Kulturzentrum Archäologiepark Belginum. With the Legendary Landscapes app, you can embark on a special journey through the cultural landscape between Zirbitzkogel and Grebenzen – a region steeped in history, legends, and hidden places. Whether on foot or by bike, the app is your digital guide through impressive landscapes, taking you to archaeological sites, ruined forts, castles, traditional buildings, and places surrounded by myths and legends. Map and orientation – everything at a glance The interactive map shows you all the cultural routes at a glance. Thanks to GPS, you always know where you are. Using the filter function, you can easily choose your route according to length, duration, or family friendliness. Under “Service Points,” you can also find parking areas, refreshment stops and exciting cultural highlights outside the routes. Prefer to be spontaneous rather than stick to the route? No problem. You can also head straight for individual stops. Choose from themes such as “Invisible monuments” for archaeological highlights, “Visible monuments” for churches, forts, and castles, “Myths & legends” for exciting local stories, or “Natural monuments” and “Interesting facts” for special places and background information. Many stations belong to several categories, allowing you to explore the region according to your personal interests. Multimedia on the go – in search of cultural heritage Experience the history of the region in a new way: the app offers several digitally guided routes with exciting content on culture, nature and archaeology. You will find information about the tours on site at the starting points, and multimedia information is available at each station along the way. You will learn about an ancient building, mysterious findings, or a local legend. The content is varied: short texts with pictures, videos, audio recordings, 3D animations, and augmented reality elements bring your tour to life. Interactive quizzes on selected routes offer additional fun for the whole family. Check back often—the app is constantly being expanded with new stations and routes. Discover at your own pace Before you start, the app shows you the complete route, including all the stations. Your position is displayed live, so you always have an overview and can enjoy your tour at your own pace. Offline in nature – no connection, but fully informed. Even without mobile reception, you don't have to miss out on any content. Simply download the app and media to your device in advance. This way, you'll be well equipped even in the most remote corners of the countryside. Augmented reality & 3D – history comes to life Bring the past to life! At selected stops, the app uses augmented reality and 3D animations to show you what places that no longer exist might have looked like in the past – such as a Roman villa, Iron Age burial mounds, or a Bronze Age village.
