Battery life is very important to us and we do many things to ensure we use it sparingly. Please be aware that continued use of GPS services running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Flying is incredible: one of the few experiences that allow us intuitively feel the massive scale of the globe we call home. Many flight trackers show the flight path, but they miss the best part of this astrological dance: the chase between your flight, the earth's rotation, the sun, and the lightshows of sunrise/sunset/auroral activity. Flightpath helps put that chase into perspective with simple, beautiful visualizations. Type your flight number, then see your aircraft on a photoreal 3D Earth, with the real-time day/night terminator, your home time zone, the destination time zone, and a glowing sun out in space. Drag the timeline scrubber to fast-forward through the flight and see exactly when sunset will catch you over your flightpath. • Real flight data: schedules, waypoints, and altitude covering 800+ airlines. • Photoreal globe: actual NASA Blue Marble imagery, with a custom shader blending day and night based on the real subsolar position. • Aurora forecast: when the northern or southern lights are active, you'll see them painted on the globe. • Time-zone clarity: three clocks at the top: where you came from, where you are right now, where you're going. • Time scrubber: drag to see where your plane and the sun will be at any point in your trip. • Works offline: once you've armed your flight, FlightGlobe runs without internet. Perfect for in-flight Wi-Fi blackouts. • No tracking: no ads, no analytics, no servers collecting your data. Built for travelers, aviation enthusiasts, and anyone who's ever wanted to understand exactly what's happening outside the window at 35,000 feet. Privacy: FlightGlobe stores all flight data locally on your device. The only data sent over the network is the flight number you type (to AeroDataBox) and anonymous aurora-grid requests to NOAA. See the in-app privacy policy for full details.
