I want to start by offering you a very warm and sincere welcome to the Home of Pilates. I am absolutely delighted that you're here. This app is intended to give you the very finest Pilates instruction available online. I want to help you learn about your body and how to control and move it so that you can enjoy using it for a whole lifetime. Pilates is a set of exercises, stretches and movements for improving strength, flexibility, control and co-ordination. There is a lot of emphasis on moving slowly, carefully and precisely, rather than just repetition. 'Contrology' was invented by Joe Pilates in the 1920s and re-branded the 'Pilates method' after his death. The emphasis in Pilates is very much on the bio-mechanics of movement and the techniques are optimised for the neurophysiology of muscle recruitment and co-ordination. You will learn to improve: - Core strength & control - Co ordination - Flexibility - Posture - Injury resistance - Injury recovery - Confidence - Body awareness - Sport performance Link to the privacy policy and EULA: https://homeofpilates.wordpress.com/privacy/
