LUMINOME – RHYTHM YOU CAN SEE, FEEL, AND HEAR Luminome is more than a metronome – it’s a sensory musical experience. Designed with precision and minimalism, it transforms beats into both sound and light, creating a unique blend of timing, tone, and color. Simplicity meets rhythm and light. CORE FEATURES • High-precision metronome with rhythmic light pulses • Advanced Tap Tempo with real-time sync and adaptive accuracy • Subdivisions based on the overtone series • Minimalist design for distraction-free focus • Frequency-to-color mapping for a synesthetic experience • Cosmic Rhythm Mode for exploring rhythm across light and time TAP TEMPO: PRECISION AT YOUR FINGERTIPS At the heart of Luminome is a powerful and highly accurate Tap Tempo engine: • Uses a custom algorithm that learns and refines with each tap • Becomes more precise over time, adapting to your rhythm • The beat starts exactly in sync with your final tap – no delay, no drift This makes Luminome a natural extension of your internal tempo, perfect for live performance and intuitive beat control. SUBDIVISIONS BASED ON THE OVERTONE SERIES Create complex rhythmic patterns with intuitive subdivisions that: • Reflect the natural overtone series in pitch space • Allow you to hear and see harmonic relationships in time • Visualize and feel polyrhythms as layered pulses of light and tone This feature connects rhythm to musical acoustics, revealing hidden harmonic structures through timing. NEW: COSMIC RHYTHM MODE Explore rhythm beyond traditional boundaries: • Set tempo using astronomical units, like beats per day or beats per year • Input frequencies in nanometers to map beats to colors of light • Enable frequency doubling to align each beat with both musical pitch and visible spectrum hues Rhythm becomes a bridge between music, light, and cosmic cycles. COLOR MAPPING BASED ON “THE COSMIC OCTAVE” Luminome includes a unique frequency-to-color system inspired by “The Cosmic Octave” by Norbert Böhm and Hans Cousto (https://www.planetware.de). This model connects musical tones to natural frequencies, mapping them to colors for a rich visual and sonic experience. SYNC WITH ABLETON LINK Stay in perfect time with other apps and devices using Ableton Link: • Sync tempos in real time • Collaborate seamlessly across your music setup • Jam, perform, and explore while staying perfectly in sync EXPLORE THE SCIENCE OF RHYTHM AND PITCH Delve into frequency ratios, pitch perception, and the visible spectrum. Luminome transforms rhythm into a multisensory journey through time, tone, and color. HEALTH & SAFETY WARNING This app contains visual elements including flashing lights, which may trigger seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy. Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have a history of epilepsy or sensitivity to flashing light. Play it. Feel it. See it. Sync it. Experience rhythm across the spectrum – with Luminome.

We believe that developing perfect pitch as an adult is an extremely difficult, if not impossible, endeavor riddled with pseudoscience making lofty promises. Most perfect pitch courses offer a dream with little in results. However, many advanced musicians know there is another way. With strong relative pitch and one reference note burned into our brain, we can develop quasi perfect pitch as adults. Quasi perfect pitch is functionally very similar to perfect pitch. If we have one personal note we can reliably hear, sing, and feel resonating in our body, we can use relative pitch to find any note. Relative pitch can be aquired as an adult and is the typical ear training we see in apps like Neurofret where we figure the relationship between notes, intervals, scales degrees, major 3rds, perfect 4ths etc. Neuropitch bypasses all of the unknowns of adult perfect pitch acquisition by acknowledging the near impossible goal post and setting our sights on what is actually possible. Neuropitch is essentially a timer and tuner that reminds us to periodically test the recall of our chosen personal note while giving us feedback to track our progress. This is not an app we spend hours playing, shooting in the dark with all 12 notes. It just takes a few seconds at a time to refresh the note that's personal to us, and we continuously test it throughout our day and week. What personal note should we choose? That depends on our unique experience. Have a favorite song from when you were a kid? Can you see the music video in your minds' eye? Can you easily sing it? The more ways we can conjure a deep experience from our childhood, the better we can unearth the pitch information. For example C3 is a lower note and may be hard for some of us, but many of us remember the opening chord from "Lean on me" or "Unchained melody" and can ignite the approximate pitch information by running the song in our heads. The stronger and more foundational memory, the better. A more contemporary example is the song "All Star" by Smash Mouth. By thinking of the music video, the song, how we felt listening to it, many of us could come very close to the singer's starting note of F#3 in "SOME body". Neuropitch harnesses our deep memories and experiences for the very practical and realistic goal of developing quasi perfect pitch.
