Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ProxyPin at none against Python Coding's 3. ProxyPin also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (82% vs 71%). Python Coding's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Python Coding sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. ProxyPin asks for nothing beyond the download.
Python Coding holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Python Coding has 1K ratings behind it against 108, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of ProxyPin's written reviews are positive against 71% of Python Coding's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ProxyPin ships an update every 5 weeks, Python Coding fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
