Bellarmine Experience vs Aeneid

Updated mobile application from Bellarmine University. Launched initially on August 15, 2023. Read the Aeneid as Vergil wrote it: in Latin, line by line, with the English at your side. This is a guided edition of the complete poem. All twelve books, nothing cut. Tap any line for a clear translation and a word-by-word gloss; tap any word for its form and its job in the line. The grammar is taught from the poem itself, not from a textbook. The whole poem is read aloud. Follow the voice word by word, or let a book play while you listen. When you are ready, say a line back: your reading is scored on your device, and nothing you say leaves it. You don't need any Latin to begin. The Study tab holds five public-domain books, each whole and in its own order: Primus Annus of 1912 and Puer Romanus of 1913, a first year taught in Latin itself; D'Ooge's Latin for Beginners of 1911, the same year the other way round, rule first and exercises after; Secundus Annus of 1917; and Ritchie's Fabulae Faciles of 1903. Then the Aeneid's own lines, each one read once every word and form in it has been taught. The scholar's shelf is here too.
