Relay Shield is the companion app to Relay! It helps you keep unwanted content off your iPhone, in Safari and inside the apps that ordinary filters can't reach. Most blockers stop at a list of websites. Relay Shield adds on-device content detection and Screen Time controls, so the apps you choose to protect stay protected while you use them, not just when you avoid them. HOW IT WORKS Choose the apps and websites you want to protect. They stay locked until you start a monitoring session. During a session, Relay Shield periodically checks the screen for sensitive content. If it finds something, you get a warning notification first. If the content continues, a safety lock closes the protected apps for a cooldown period you set. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Detection runs entirely on your iPhone using an on-device model. Screen images are never uploaded, and we never see them. The only thing that can leave your phone is an alert you've chosen to send. SCREEN TIME LIMITS AND SCHEDULES Set daily time limits and blocking schedules for any app or category, enforced by Apple's Screen Time framework. ACCOUNTABILITY, ON YOUR TERMS Relay Shield works alone, and it works better with someone in your corner. Connect your Relay account to send a supporter or your Relay team a red flag when sensitive content is detected. They get the signal that you could use a check-in, not a log of what you were doing. YOUR WHY Keep a photo, a message, a verse, or a self-care reminder inside Shield. It's the first thing you see when the safety lock activates. PASSCODE PROTECTION Set a PIN to protect your shielded app list and the safety lock, so an impulsive moment can't undo a decision you made when you were thinking clearly. FAST TO START Begin a monitoring session from Control Center, the Action Button, or a Home Screen quick action. Protection that takes one tap is protection you'll actually use. WHO IT'S FOR Anyone who wants stronger boundaries around explicit content and more intentional screen time, whether you're working on a habit, supporting your recovery, or just tired of blockers that are easy to switch off and hard to live with. IMPORTANT Relay Shield uses Apple's Screen Time and screen broadcast frameworks. Monitoring requires a one-time Screen Time authorization and a short setup, and Safari protection requires enabling the Relay Shield Safari extension. Relay Shield does not generate, host, or provide explicit content; it exists only to help you avoid it. Relay Shield is free to use. A Relay account is optional and only needed for supporter alerts.
