Lay your tickets on the table, take one photo, and Longshot reads all of them. Most scanners handle one ticket at a time. This one separates a stack — Powerball, Mega Millions and Millionaire for Life together — reads every line, and checks each against the right drawing. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account. No sign-in. No server holding your history. Your tickets are stored on the device and nowhere else, and the app asks nothing of you to work. FREE, WITH NO SUBSCRIPTION Unlimited scanning, unlimited tickets, permanently. Supported by a single banner ad. HONEST ABOUT MONEY Spent, won, net, and cents back per dollar played. It will tell you plainly when you are down, because that is the number worth knowing. NEVER MISS A RESULT Drawings are checked for you and a notification arrives when a ticket you are holding has been decided. Home-screen widgets show the current jackpots, and a countdown appears in the two hours before a draw you actually hold a ticket for. MATCHED NUMBERS, MARKED Open any ticket to see the winning numbers beside your own, with every match picked out. AND SOME FUN Past winning numbers going back months. Which numbers run hot and cold. A number generator with four strategies plus "hindsight" — the line that would have earned the most over the drawings on your phone. And a what-if that plays any set of numbers back through history and tells you what it would have won, and what it would have cost. Those parts are entertainment and the app says so. Every draw is independent. WHAT THIS APP IS NOT Longshot sells nothing, takes no wagers, and handles no money. It reads tickets you already bought and compares them against published results from New York State's public open-data service. If gambling has stopped being fun, help is free and confidential, 24/7: call or text 1-800-MY-RESET.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: MapMx at none against Longshot's shown. MapMx also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
