Echo is an AAC app designed for those with a visual difficulty and physical difficulty to access communication. Echo is based around the concept of auditory scanning. Auditory scanning is a communication method using sound cues or auditory feedback rather than visual cues. This method is especially valuable for those with a visual impairment who cant access visual based AAC. Echo provides you with two different voices, one for your auditory cues and the another to represent your voice. You can access Echo using the following methods. - Any external switch (or combination of switches) - Swipe Gestures - Arrow Keys We have plans to extend this in the future to allow for more access methods.

About

Harry Says

Features

Harry Says is a revolutionary communication app designed specifically for children with severe non-verbal autism and other complex communication needs (CCN). Built from the ground up for extreme simplicity and clarity, Harry Says empowers children to communicate their wants and needs independently using real-life pictures, not confusing cartoons. We understand that standard Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) apps can be overwhelming. They often feature too many buttons, require reading skills, and use abstract symbols that don't translate to real life. Harry Says cuts through this complexity: Real Objects, Real Understanding: Upload actual photos of your child's preferred items - their favourite juice bottle, their specific iPad, their unique front door. Your child knows exactly what they are requesting. 12-Tile Focus: Forget cluttered screens (like those with 48 buttons). We limit the display to 12 large, high-contrast tiles (Objects of Reference), ensuring maximum focus and minimising accidental selections. Immediate Voice Feedback: A single tap on a tile triggers immediate Text-to-Speech (TTS) output, giving your child an instant, clear voice. Designed for Independence The design is engineered for users who can navigate a screen but struggle with comprehension and complex menus: Giant Tap Targets: Tiles cover the full screen, requiring minimal fine motor control. Distraction-Free Interface: No complex menus, toolbars, or unnecessary icons are present on the main communication screen. Secure Admin Mode: A simple, discreet parental lock ensures your child stays fixed on the communication board and can't accidentally edit or exit the app. Long press on the settings icon to access the admin hub. Life-Changing Simplicity Easy Setup: Parents can quickly upload a photo and input the request text in the secure Admin Mode. Empowerment: Giving your child a reliable voice reduces frustration, tantrums, and behavior linked to communication breakdown. Affordable Access: Communication shouldn't cost hundreds of pounds. Give your child the power of choice. Give them Harry Says.
