About

Talk It Out

Features

SOTTO is an app where you can talk to AI about difficult feelings and experiences—such as emotional abuse, or workplace harassment—while quietly keeping a record of what happened. Even when you know it might be important to keep a record, looking back on painful experiences and putting them into words can be difficult. That’s why, with SOTTO, you don’t have to force yourself to document anything. Just start by telling us what’s on your mind. As you talk, what happened and the circumstances around it are gradually organized, and important details that may help you look back or explain what happened to someone later are kept as a record. You don’t talk for the sake of keeping a record. You simply talk—and a record takes shape along the way. And through talking, your feelings and circumstances may gradually become clearer, helping you eventually let go of what happened. That, too, is one of the things SOTTO hopes to make possible. ■ DON’T WANT TO SEE IT. Just because you’ve kept a record of something painful doesn’t mean you need to see it every day. With SOTTO, past records are kept out of sight during everyday use. You can look back at them only when you need to. “I want to keep it. But I don’t want to see it.” SOTTO is designed with that feeling in mind. ■ DON’T WANT OTHERS TO SEE IT. When you’re keeping something sensitive, it’s natural to want to reduce the risk of someone else seeing it. SOTTO is designed to give you a private place to talk and keep what matters. • App lock with biometric authentication • Change the app icon to a different appearance “I want to keep it. But I don’t want others to see it.” SOTTO cares not only about helping you keep a record, but also about protecting what you choose to keep. ■ BUT STILL WANT TO KEEP IT. With SOTTO, you can talk at your own pace. By voice or by keyboard. Just share what’s on your mind, as it is. As you talk, when it happened, who was involved, and what happened are gradually organized and kept as a record. You don’t have to push yourself to “document everything.” You simply talk—and a record takes shape along the way. That’s the kind of record-keeping SOTTO aims to make possible. ■ WHO SOTTO IS FOR SOTTO may be helpful for people who: • Want to keep a record of painful or difficult experiences • Find it difficult to keep a diary or journal • Find it burdensome to put their experiences into writing • Want to talk to someone while sorting through their feelings and circumstances • Want to keep a record of problems at work or school • Are struggling with romantic relationships, family relationships, or other interpersonal issues • Want to keep a record but don’t want to see it all the time • Want to keep personal records without people around them knowing • Want to face and better understand their own insecurities ■ WHAT SOTTO VALUES You don’t need to revisit painful experiences every day. A record you keep today may help protect you in the future. That’s why SOTTO aims to make keeping a record feel as effortless as possible. As you talk, you may begin to feel a little lighter. Your records stay quietly tucked away until you need them. Talk, and a record remains. And someday, you may be able to let it go. That’s the kind of place SOTTO hopes to be. ■ IMPORTANT INFORMATION This app is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition.
