About

PatternMath

Features

See the pattern. Find the move. Check your reasoning. PatternMath helps students preparing for AMC 8, AMC 10, and AMC 12 look beyond formulas and practice the decisions that make a problem easier: what to notice, which move to try, and when a shortcut does not apply. ONE LIBRARY, CONNECTED IDEAS Browse patterns and skills in one Library. Search, filter by mathematical domain, and follow links from a pattern to its foundations. Explore recognition cues, worked explanations, and common traps across algebra, geometry, number theory, and counting and probability. Keep skill progress separate for each track. METHOD LAB FOR ALL THREE TRACKS Train a repeatable process: Given, Find, Recognize, Move, Check. Each track includes 20 method lessons and 60 exercises. Choose a pattern and a first move before solving, compare recognition, strategy, and answer results separately, and return to misses through delayed retrieval. Worked examples and boundary checks help you understand why a method fits. Written reasoning is self-reviewed, not AI-graded. AN EIGHT-WEEK WORKBOOK Build a routine with 40 study days and six assignments per day. First classify the problems, then solve them, then review your results. Compare numerical answers with recognition cues, first moves, and explanations. Each track has 240 assignments, including retrieval repeats, with 205 distinct prompts. Unfinished sessions can be resumed. DISCOVER THE MOVE AND ITS LIMITS Work through 20 Discovery Sets per track. Solve ten questions, record answers, and propose a dominant move before revealing feedback. Identify decisive cues and explain which questions need another approach. Each track contains 200 assignments with 180 distinct prompts; repeats are retrieval practice, not unseen transfer. CASE STUDIES AND FLEXIBLE PRACTICE Connect several ideas in a case study, commit an answer and a first-move plan, then compare with the solution. AMC 10 and AMC 12 free previews include optional hints and prerequisite reviews. Practice at your own pace with untimed study or optional timed rehearsal. Timed practice is a short drill, not a complete official AMC exam. START FREE, UNLOCK BY TRACK Regular practice is free. Each track includes three free pattern previews, their linked skill explanations, and five free case studies. The Method Lab introduction, activity summaries, and eight-week roadmap are also free to view. Optional one-time purchases unlock the selected track's full pattern, skill, and case-study libraries plus its Method Lab, Workbook, and Discovery Sets. Existing buyers receive training for their purchased track without another purchase. AMC 8, AMC 10, and AMC 12 are separate unlocks; one purchase does not unlock all three. No subscription. Localized prices and Restore Purchases are available in the app. STUDY ON YOUR DEVICE No student account, ads, or developer-operated analytics. Core learning content works offline; purchases and restores use Apple services. Notes, drafts, and study history stay on your device unless you export or share them. Export and restore track-specific study backups. There is no developer cloud sync. PatternMath is an independent supplemental study tool, not an official exam or a complete curriculum. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Mathematical Association of America. AMC names are used descriptively. Progress indicators are not exam-score predictions; no score or qualification is guaranteed.
