When you connect to a VPN, all data transmitted between your device and the server is protected by strong encryption. This means that even if someone tries to intercept this data, they won't be able to read it because of the encryption. Your traffic passes through this encrypted tunnel, making you invisible to unauthorized observers, including your ISP and intruders. Your IP address, which is normally used to identify your device on the Internet, is replaced by the IP address of the server. This allows you to remain anonymous and will enable you to change your virtual location. Note: 1. Please note that using VPN for illegal purposes is prohibited. 2. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DexPOINT at none against VPN proxy's 4. DexPOINT also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). VPN proxy's advantage is ratings volume (8.1K vs 3) and review sentiment (75% vs 59%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. VPN proxy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. DexPOINT asks for nothing beyond the download.
DexPOINT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN proxy has 8.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of VPN proxy's written reviews are positive against 59% of DexPOINT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
VPN proxy ships an update every 2 months, DexPOINT every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
