About

EP

EP-PatchStudio builds sample kits and multisamples for Teenage Engineering's EP-series samplers, then sends them to your device over USB. It also backs up your projects and lets you manage the samples on your device from your iPhone or iPad. If you own an EP-133 K.O. II, EP-1320 Medieval or EP-40 Riddim, you know the squeeze: great sounds, a tiny screen and a slow road from a sample on your phone to a pad on your sampler. This app is the shortcut. Import audio, trim it, build a kit and load it onto the hardware. CHOP A BREAK INTO HITS Open a drum break and Chop Sample slices it by transients, into equal parts or to a grid. Keep the strongest 8 and they land on the pads, named and ready to play as an EP-40 kit. You can also turn them into a multisample or save them as separate WAV files. Free. ROOM FOR MORE SOUNDS On a K.O. II, Fit More makes a sample mono, lowers the rate and, where the pitch allows it, turns on Double Speed, in one tap. Undo puts it back. Free. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Import WAV and AIFF from Files, iCloud Drive or another app through the share sheet • Trim, fade, loop and tune samples by touch, in one-shot, key or loop mode • Create multisamples for the EP-40 Riddim, mapped across the keyboard • Normalise, trim and rename a whole batch of samples in one pass • Browse, preview and replace the samples on your device in the File Manager • Back up your device and keep every backup in a library you can restore from • Open a project to see its pads and patterns on a timeline, then export MIDI, stems or an Ableton Live set WORKS WITH • EP-133 K.O. II • EP-1320 Medieval • EP-40 Riddim Multisamples are for the EP-40 Riddim. No hardware to hand? You can still build and edit, then send it over when you plug in. FREE AND PRO The Sample Editor, Chop Sample and Fit More are free, with no ads and no account. Connecting your EP and checking its storage are free too. Pro adds sending to your device, the File Manager, the Batch Processor, backups, the Project Viewer and the Project Library. Every Pro tool is open for 14 days after you install, with no sign-up. After that, Pro is a one-off in-app purchase. Buy once, no subscription. Already bought EP-PatchStudio on Mac or Windows? Enter your licence key to unlock the same here. A NOTE FROM ME I'm a solo developer and a sampler nerd. I built EP-PatchStudio because I wanted grown-up software for these little machines, and I keep improving it based on what the community asks for. If something is missing or broken, tell me.
