This app is a straightforward voice timer. It can audibly announce the remaining time even while you're listening to music or when the app is in the background, thanks to local notifications. This feature is particularly handy when you can't directly see your iPhone. You have a choice of four voice options: English male, English female, Japanese male, and Japanese female. For more details, you can find additional information in the “App Information” section within the app.

About

Count Fill

Features

Count Fill turns something you already do every night — charging your phone — into a bedtime ritual. Instead of counting sheep, you count something real: the percentage left until your phone reaches 100%. A calm, soothing voice counts it down for you — sixty-three, sixty-two, sixty-one — while a gentle ambient soundtrack plays underneath. As your phone quietly fills up, so do you. When the battery reaches 100%, the voice says "zero," just once. Then nothing more, until you wake up and tap the screen for a short "good morning." HOW IT WORKS WITH YOUR IPHONE Count Fill is designed to work together with iOS's Optimized Battery Charging. Turn that feature on, and your iPhone already knows roughly when you wake up — finishing the last stretch of charging right before then. Count Fill's "zero" rides along with it, so you don't need to set a wake-up time yourself. (It may not line up perfectly in your first few days of use, or on nights your schedule is unusual — that's expected. Also, due to how iOS works, the battery level is only reported in 5% increments, so the percentage shown in the app may differ slightly from what's displayed in your iPhone's own battery indicator.) A QUIET CLOCK, TOO Lay your phone flat on the nightstand while it charges, and Count Fill doubles as a soft, dim clock — a big number, an analog face, and a digital time, in tones designed not to startle you if you wake in the night. FOUR VOICES Choose the narrator you like best from four calm voices — two male, two female — each with their own goodnight and good morning lines. MUSIC THAT SHIFTS THROUGH THE NIGHT An ambient soundtrack plays right after you plug in, grows quieter as you settle into deep sleep, and shifts to a brighter, morning-appropriate track just before you wake. With Wi-Fi connected, the tracks rotate day to day. FREE, WITH ONE OPTIONAL PURCHASE Count Fill is free to use, supported by a small banner ad. If a quiet, uninterrupted screen matters to you at bedtime, a single one-time purchase removes ads for good — there's no subscription.
