Octet Operator teaches you the networking technology that powers high-end entertainment productions. Start with IP fundamentals and work up through the protocols you actually meet on the job: Dante, NDI, SMPTE 2110, AES67, PTP, NMOS and Q-SYS. 35 lessons, with more being added every month. "Save the Show" is a library of timed "pressure scenarios" built from failures that actually happened. Between shows, the flashcard decks keep the terms, acronyms, and lingo fresh in your mind. The quick-reference cards and the field tools still work when there is no cell or WiFi -- they're offline capable. Save the Show is free to play. Every run is a timed on-air emergency: read the symptoms, make the calls, and save the show before it goes down, then see where your score lands on the leaderboard. Octet Operator Pro unlocks the rest of the app: all 35 lessons, the full Save the Show library, the flashcard decks, and the quick-reference cards. Octet Operator offers two auto-renewing subscriptions for you or your employer to choose from: • Residency Pass: $39.99/year — full access, best value (works out to $3.33/month) • Tour Pass: $5.99/month — full access, month to month Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
