WorkLog is a time clock and timesheet app for people paid by the hour. Clock in when your shift starts, clock out when it ends, and WorkLog logs the hours, subtracts unpaid breaks, and shows what you earned. Built for hourly workers who need to check their own paycheck: servers and bartenders, nurses and caregivers, drivers, warehouse and retail staff, students working part-time, freelancers billing by the hour, and anyone working more than one job. — WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT — • One-time purchase. No subscription — pay once and Premium is yours for good. • No account and no sign-up. There is nothing to log in to. • Sync runs on your own iCloud account. We have no servers, and your logs never pass through us. • No ads and no trackers. WorkLog collects nothing about you. • Tracking your hours works fully offline. Only iCloud sync waits for a connection. • The whole app is under 5 MB. • The free plan never limits how many shifts you log — write down every hour you work, forever. It shows you this month and last month; older logs stay saved and unlock with Premium. • Nothing is ever deleted. Logs older than the free window stay saved — they are only hidden until you unlock them. — TRACK YOUR SHIFTS — • One-tap Clock In and Clock Out, with Pause for breaks • Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island — see the running clock without opening the app • Or add a shift by hand, for the days you forgot to clock in • Break presets for the breaks you take every shift — MULTIPLE JOBS, MULTIPLE PAY RATES — • Give every job its own hourly rate, currency and color • Move a single shift from one job to another • An Overview across all your jobs, in every currency you use — KNOW WHAT YOU EARNED — • Unpaid breaks are subtracted automatically, so the hours match what you are actually paid for • Estimated pay per shift, per week and per month • Filter by today, yesterday, this week, last week, this month or last month • Export CSV or share a plain-text report to check against your payslip or send to your employer — WHAT IS FREE AND WHAT IS PAID — Free, with no time limit: • One job • Unlimited shifts — logging hours is never blocked • iCloud sync across your devices • Live Activity and Dynamic Island • This month and last month of history Premium unlocks, as a one-time purchase: • Unlimited jobs • Your complete history, however far back it goes • The multi-job Overview • CSV export and shareable reports WorkLog is a private log of your own hours — not a tool for your manager to track you. No team dashboards, no GPS, no monitoring. Available in 13 languages. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

One-tap clock in. Hours, overtime & commute — automatically tracked. Built for shift workers, freelancers, and anyone whose schedule isn't 9-to-5. No subscription. 7 days free, then own it forever. —————— Work is important. But it isn't everything. Most time trackers count the hours you sit at your desk. Workloom counts the real cost of your career — the commute before and after, the shifts that run into the night, the years that quietly pile up. Because your true working time isn't the hours you spend in the office. It's every moment work takes from the rest of your life. When you see clearly how much of your life work occupies, you begin to treasure what remains — family, friends, quiet mornings, the small beauties of an ordinary day. Work matters. But so does everything work leaves behind. Workloom is built around this single idea. WHAT WORKLOOM TRACKS • Clock in, clock out — one-tap work sessions with a live timer • Commute time — the hours work takes from you before you even arrive • In-session events — meetings, breaks, lunch, anything worth logging • Mood at clock-out — how work actually felt, not just how long it lasted • Overtime — stored separately so you never lose sight of it • Career history — every job, every company, summed into the one number that matters: how much of your life it took BUILT FOR REAL SCHEDULES Clock out at 2 AM the next day? No problem. Workloom was designed for day shifts, night shifts, split shifts, and overtime that runs past midnight. ANALYTICS THAT TELL A STORY Daily, weekly, and monthly breakdowns. Work hours vs. commute. Overtime trends. Mood patterns over time. Beautiful charts that turn your workdays into something you can finally see. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your data lives on your device. Optional iCloud sync keeps it safe across your iPhone and iPad — and only yours. No accounts. No servers. No tracking. TRY FREE, OWN FOREVER 7 days free with every feature unlocked. Then a single one-time purchase — own it forever. No subscriptions. No recurring charges. No surprise bills. Built with care for people who want to work well — and live well, too.

Verdict
WorkLog and Workloom are too close to call on the numbers: across 7 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. WorkLog sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Workloom sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
WorkLog ships an update every 4 weeks, Workloom fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
