Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Hot Player at 3.9 against TV Vala's 2.7. Hot Player also leads on review sentiment (39% vs 0%) and ratings volume (16 vs 3). TV Vala's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
