Mealtime, meet your new sidekick. TummyTurtle is an old-school virtual pet that gets its energy from mealtime. After a meal, your child does a pretend "tummy scan" (a playful game, not a real or medical scan) and watches TummyTurtle's shell fill up. Then they feed TummyTurtle the colors they ate. Made for parents of picky eaters, toddlers and preschoolers who want mealtime to feel more like play. HOW IT WORKS - Pretend tummy scan: after a meal, kids hold the phone up to their tummy for a silly, make-believe "scan." It's pretend; the app doesn't measure anything. - Fill the shell: each scan fills TummyTurtle's shell a little more, all the way to "Shell full!" - Feed the colors: kids tap the food colors they ate. Every color counts. - An old-school virtual pet: TummyTurtle has moods, energy and a daily streak, and goes to sleep at night, just like the pocket pets you remember. PLAY AND EXPLORE - Rainbow Kitchen: cook for TummyTurtle's friends. Fill their orders by dragging colorful foods onto the plate, or cook anything in Free Play. - Brave Bites: a food passport that collects every food your child tries, sorted by color, with a count of new foods each week. - Dress up TummyTurtle: kids earn stars and spend them on new shells. FOR PARENTS - Weekly Recap: see the new foods your child tried, the colors they explored and that week's Brave Bites. - History: every scanned meal in one place, with total scans, stars and streaks. - Real-life rewards: set goals like a big hug, a sticker pack or a family game night. Kids save up stars, then ask a grown-up to redeem them. - You set how many scans each meal gets: breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. - Multiple kids: add each child, so everyone gets their own progress. - A parent PIN keeps settings in your hands. - Gentle mealtime reminders that are never about how much anyone eats. SUBSCRIPTION TummyTurtle is free to download. Full access requires an auto-renewing subscription: start with a 7-day free trial, then $7.99/month or $49.99/year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings. Family Sharing is supported. Terms: https://tummytheturtle.com/terms Privacy: https://tummytheturtle.com/privacy TummyTurtle is a game for fun and encouragement. It is not medical or nutrition advice and it does not measure what or how much your child eats. Every kid is different. If you have concerns about your child's eating, talk with your pediatrician.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Good Inside at 14K against TummyTurtle's 1. Good Inside also leads on chart position (#174 vs unranked). TummyTurtle's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Good Inside sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $84.00 per 3 months and TummyTurtle sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Good Inside against 5.0 for TummyTurtle. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Good Inside has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of Good Inside's written reviews are positive against 100% of TummyTurtle's.
Good Inside ships an update every 3 days, TummyTurtle every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
