Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: MaxiAP Diag at 2.9 against MotorCom's 1.0. MaxiAP Diag also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). MotorCom's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 28) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
