Wireless touch-free re-provisioning New in iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, Apple has extended the Erase Device command with a game changing new feature called Return to Service. This allows all on device steps typically required for re-enrollment after an wipe to be skipped. This means that a user no longer has to select a Language, Region, and WiFi Network on the iPad or iPhone, and the device is automatically reconfigured after the initial wipe.
