Every hour, mori will give you a new reminder to appreciate your life. One day you will die. It is mori's job to remind you of this. remember Mori is a "memento mori" which means a reminder of death. The purpose of a memento mori is to keep some facts at front of mind. 1: You will not live forever. 2: You should, therefore, appreciate your life. 3: Because you will die, that means that one day you will say goodbye to all loved ones. Therefore, you should appreciate them, and treat all people well. 4: There is no sense in putting off what you believe you should be doing. Every hour, mori will give you a new reminder. The reminder will help you keep the four facts at the front of your mind. When you meet mori, he will make some personal reminders for you, and help you create your own reminders with personal meaning to you. Plus, mori brings his own reminders, made of things he found... art, videos, photos. You will see. This app is intended to help people with anxiety, depression, aimlessness, or other troubles that can happen to living beings. However, it is probably not for everyone. If you have a lot of worries about death, or if you are yourself very ill, or your family member is, or if you have just lost someone, please do not feel forced to use this app. You can always return to it later when you are in a different state of mind, or when you feel you need it.
Stoic Practice

The best practice is the one you actually do. Stoic Practice sends you gentle daily reminders — each tied to a classic Stoic exercise and a concrete prompt — so a calmer, more deliberate mindset becomes a habit, not just a good intention. Set your own reminder times, choose the practices that suit you, and let a simple nudge bring you back to the present each day. No long reading, no study — just a minute when the reminder arrives. The Stoics taught that a good life is built not on what happens to us, but on how we meet it. Each reminder carries a prompt drawn from thinkers like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus: - Negative Visualisation — briefly imagine the loss of what you value, and return to the present with renewed gratitude. This is premeditatio malorum, practised by Seneca and Marcus Aurelius. - Last Time — a reminder that any ordinary moment could be your last, inviting you to meet it with attention. - Morning Reflection — begin the day by recalling what is within your control, and what is not. - Bedtime Reflection — close the day by reviewing it honestly, in the manner Seneca described. A simple streak counter helps you return each day and build a lasting practice. Choose your practices, set your reminder times, and let the app do the remembering for you. Stoic Practice is built to stay out of your way. There are no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you set up stays on your device. "You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realise this, and you will find strength." — Marcus Aurelius Terms of Use (EULA): https://michaelbaerlin.github.io/stoic-privacy/terms.html Privacy Policy: https://michaelbaerlin.github.io/stoic-privacy/
