About

Informed Running

Features

Informed Running is an AI running coach built on a simple rule: every number comes from your real training, or it does not appear. EVERY MORNING Connect Garmin, Strava, or Apple Health and the app reads your overnight recovery (heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep) against your own baseline, not population averages. You get one clear verdict for the day: proceed as planned, or adjust, and exactly why. YOUR NUMBERS, MEASURED Training zones and thresholds are calculated from your actual runs, not age formulas. As you get fitter, the app re-measures and your plan re-paces itself. Every value shows its provenance (measured, observed, or estimated) so you always know how much to trust a number. A PLAN THAT ADAPTS Tell it your race, or just that you want to get fitter. Your plan is built from your demonstrated volume, your long-run history, and 80/20 polarized structure with deloads and a proper taper. When life happens, the coach proposes changes and you decide. Nothing is ever silently rewritten. AFTER EVERY RUN Completed workouts are graded against what was prescribed: did the easy day stay easy, did the intervals hit their zones. Check in with how it felt, and the next days adjust. RACING Before race day: a race brief with course strategy, pacing, and fueling targets. In the final two weeks: a taper watch that projects your race-day freshness. Afterward: a debrief that captures how it went and feeds your next training block. A REAL COACH, IF YOU WANT ONE The coached tier adds a human coach who personally reviews your plan and your training, every week. YOUR DATA Your training data is used to coach you. It is never sold and never used for advertising. Informed Running works best with a heart rate source (watch or chest strap) and a few weeks of running history, but it can start from zero and learn you as you go.
