REC is a Systemically Important Non-Deposit Accepting NBFC registered under section 45-IA of the RBI Act, 1934, an Infrastructure Finance Company (IFC) and also classified as a notified Public Financial Institutions (PFI) under Section 2(72) of the Companies Act, 2013. The Borrowings of REC Limited are rated the highest i.e. “AAA” from CRISIL, CARE, India Ratings and ICRA.
