Never Dare
Read full descriptionHide full description
Never Dare is a party game for the people already in the room and one phone on the table. Twelve decks. 299 curated prompts. 19 game modes. Those three numbers are printed on the home screen, and the deck library lists every deck with its own prompt count and the game modes it contains. BUILD THE SESSION FIRST The Session Builder opens before the first prompt, not after it. Choose the group — friends, people who just met, couples, a close circle or a mixed room. Choose the vibe: chill, funny, competitive, bold or deep. Choose how bold the prompts are allowed to get, and how long you want to play: 15, 30 or 60 rounds. A live preview counts the exact decks, prompts, game modes and card types your choices will deal, and estimates the running time. Change one setting and every number updates before you start. MORE THAN ONE KIND OF ROUND Charades and impressions. Five-second rushes and pass-the-bomb timers. Drawing captions. Would-you-rather splits, most-likely-to calls and secret ballots. Hot-seat questions and story chains. Team battles. House rules the group invents, which then stay in force for a set number of rounds. And Never Have I Ever between the action. Fourteen of the modes bring their own on-screen panel — a vote tally, a revealed split, a sealed ballot, a running timer — and the rest resolve on the per-player rows. EVERY PROMPT HAS A WAY OUT Skip sits on the screen every single round and never penalises anyone. Every prompt also has a softer alternative one tap away, and many carry a gentler wording written for that exact card; playing the alternative counts exactly like playing the card. Anything that lands badly can be reported and pulled out of the session for the whole group in one tap. Two decks stay locked until someone deliberately unlocks them. NOBODY IS ASKED TO DRINK There is no drinking mechanic in this game, on any screen. When a player passes on a prompt, the consequence is the one the group chose in advance: lose a point, a sip of water, an easier challenge, or a pass with no penalty at all. BUILT FOR REAL ROOMS 2 to 20 players. Sessions run on the device in your hand, offline, so a weak signal never ends the night. The app numbers and colour-codes every player, tracks whose turn it is, splits the room into simultaneous pairs when you ask it to, keeps the house rules visible while you play, and gives every player a 1–20 die. The round counter and its progress bar stay on screen the whole time. WHEN IT ENDS A results screen worth reading: rounds played, prompts completed, completion rate, how many game modes came up, players, minutes, an MVP, a leaderboard with a score bar per player, the mix of modes the group actually played, and the closing rounds listed one by one. English and Romanian are both fully translated, every prompt included. Never Dare is made for players 18+. Go at your own pace, keep everything consensual, and never pressure anyone to take part.
