PinFinder vs Range Master

PinFinder is a simple accurate rangefinder for golfers.

Know where your rounds could go. Range Master maps a reference area beyond the target for an outdoor range, private property, blind or fixed hunting stand. Set the firing point, direction of fire, ammunition profile and impact surface, then see how the reference footprint changes. That footprint is called a Surface Danger Zone, or SDZ. It brings direct fire, dispersion, ricochet and the published max-range distance into one view so the range layout is easier to understand. SEE THE DOWNRANGE FOOTPRINT • Place the firing point by GPS or a map tap • Set the direction of fire with the bearing control • Choose a listed ammunition profile and impact surface • View the published max-range distance, dispersion, ricochet and vertical hazard • Add target lines, berms, boundaries and range structures • Save a range and return to it later KEEP RANGE DAY ORGANIZED • Set each saved range HOT or COLD • Keep shooter, session, round-count and incident records • Track estimated lead accumulation by berm • Export a planning summary, range brief or CSV records ALSO USEFUL FROM A FIXED STAND OR BLIND For a fixed stand, blind or private-land shooting position, use the same map workflow to view a generalized downrange reference footprint for a matching listed ammunition profile. Range Master is not a shot-placement or trajectory tool, hunting-safety determination, or authorization to fire. Never use the App to decide whether or when to take a shot. START FREE The free version includes the core SDZ map for .22 LR and one saved range. RANGE MASTER PREMIUM Premium unlocks the additional supported ammunition profiles, up to 15 saved ranges, range-layout tools, range-day records, berm history, range briefs and exports. Screenshots marked Premium show paid features. Available subscription options and prices are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings. IMPORTANT Range Master is an informational, educational, training, and planning aid. Its footprint is a generalized reference model based on published dimensions and the information you enter. It is not a factual statement of actual conditions, a ballistics calculator, trajectory or impact prediction, backstop or containment assessment, hunting-safety determination, survey, site approval, or authorization to fire. Never use the App to decide whether or when to take a shot. Verify the exact load, direction, backstop, terrain, people, structures, property limits, weather, and every legal and safety condition independently.
