Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: INKtoon at none against DAYcomics's 12. INKtoon also leads on rating (3.5 vs 3.1) and chart position (#186 vs unranked). DAYcomics's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DAYcomics sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. INKtoon asks for nothing beyond the download.
INKtoon holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of DAYcomics's written reviews are positive against 0% of INKtoon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DAYcomics ships an update every 4 days, INKtoon monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
