VisualRecord for iPad provides an easy to use, visual record keeping database. With its intuitive interface, VisualRecord allows you to record information about a particular object, including one or more pictures of the object itself. The information you supply about the object, including photos, is stored in the form of a record in a SQLite database table. This allows you to use the powerful SQL query language to search over the records you've created and filter the data to suit your needs. In addition, VisualRecord provides a "fetch" interface which requires no prior knowledge of SQL that also allows you to filter your data based on simple criteria. When you add a new record for a particular object to your database table, VisualRecord makes it easy to insert a picture of the object into the record itself using your iPad's Photo Library or Camera. The records in your database table can include textual fields of arbitrary length. This allows you to include descriptive text in the record associated with the object in question. VisualRecord is ideal for record keeping of your valuables for insurance purposes.
Echo

Most thoughts worth keeping arrive when typing is too slow, and most voice memos end up in a pile nobody plays back. Echo exists so that saying a thought out loud is enough. Talk for a minute about an idea, a decision, or something you need to remember, and Echo writes the note up, titles it, summarizes it, and files it under one of your categories. After a few weeks you have a searchable journal of your own thinking that you never had to organize. Capturing a thought takes one tap in the app, or a long-press on the Echo icon and New note from your Home Screen. Your words appear as you speak, so you can see the app is hearing you. There is nothing to name, tag, or file afterwards. Echo records in English (US and UK), French, German, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish (Mexico and Spain), and writes the title, summary, and tags in the language you spoke. A language is offered only when your iPhone can recognize it on the device. The app's menus are in English. Every note keeps two versions. The written-up one drops false starts and filler words but keeps your wording, numbers, and names. The original transcript is one tap away for when you want to check what you actually said. Your library is ordered by recency, category chips narrow it to one subject, and search covers titles, summaries, transcripts, and tags. Echo Pro adds search by meaning, so headache finds the note where you said migraine, and lets you ask a question across all your notes and get an answer drawn from them, with links back to each source. The Library shows how many days in a row you have recorded, and an optional daily reminder opens the recorder at a time you pick. On This Day brings back what you said a month ago and, after a year, on the same date last year. Journaling prompts help when you are not sure where to start. Echo starts with six categories and adds new ones when your notes call for them. Move a misfiled note and Echo learns from the correction. Transcription runs on your iPhone through Apple's speech recognition. The recording stays on the device, and only the text is sent to be written up. Turn on Require Face ID and Echo locks on open and after a minute away, with a cover in the app switcher. You can still record while it is locked, since a new note reveals nothing stored. Notes sync through your Apple or Google account, and recording, transcription, reading, and keyword search work offline. A free account includes unlimited recording, on-device transcription, keyword search, streaks, reminders, On This Day, the Face ID lock, sync, and 25 AI-filed notes a month of up to three minutes each. Echo Pro removes the monthly limit, allows notes of fifteen minutes, and adds search by meaning, questions across your notes, and follow-up questions. It costs $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $5.99 a month.
