WiFi Health Check helps you check your Wi-Fi connection, identify devices on your local network, and understand connectivity problems. Built for home networks, homelabs, and everyday IT troubleshooting, it brings connection diagnostics, device fingerprints, stability tests, and room comparisons to iPhone and iPad. WI-FI HEALTH See how your current connection is performing with clear results and practical guidance. - Connection experience score and recent check results - Local gateway, DNS, and internet connectivity checks - Current Wi-Fi and network information when available - Explanations of detected issues and suggested next steps Results reflect the tested connection, rather than Wi-Fi signal strength or channel conditions. LOCAL NETWORK DISCOVERY Scan your selected local subnet to discover responding devices and common services. - Identify computers, phones, tablets, routers, servers, NAS devices, printers, and cameras when sufficient evidence is available - View device identity, IP address, and available manufacturer information - Review device counts and categories - Save devices for later reference - Compare results with previous scans DEVICE FINGERPRINTS Go beyond a single open port. WiFi Health Check combines TCP services, HTTP and HTTPS responses, Bonjour / mDNS, SSH banners, and platform signatures to identify devices. Supported fingerprints include: - FortiGate / FortiOS - Synology DSM - Proxmox VE and VMware - MikroTik RouterOS and OpenWrt - UniFi and TP-Link Omada - ASUSWRT - Hikvision and EZVIZ devices - Docker and Portainer - Common databases, media platforms, printers, and file services Identification depends on the evidence a device exposes. Devices without sufficient evidence remain unclassified. CONNECTION STABILITY Test a reachable host and port to observe connection performance over time. - Live TCP response measurements - Successful connections, failures, and timeouts - Response-time trends - Saved targets and test history WALK TEST & ROOM COMPARISONS Check connection performance in different areas of your home or workplace. - Test the same target in each room - Review response times, failed connections, and slow spikes - Use PRO to save locations and compare rooms - Compare measurements before and after network adjustments Area scores are estimates of connection experience. They do not measure radio signal strength, and public targets can also reflect internet-provider conditions. WI-FI ROAMING Observe what happens to your connection as you move between access points. - Track available Wi-Fi names and BSSID changes - Review the observed roaming path - Check TCP continuity and response times during movement Roaming tests observe connection behavior at the application level. They do not measure exact wireless handoff times. Keep the app in the foreground during testing. SERVICE INSIGHTS Understand common services detected on your network, including SSH, HTTPS, SMB, RDP, WinRM, RTSP, databases, media servers, and management interfaces. Potentially sensitive management services are highlighted for review. A detected service alone does not establish a vulnerability. HISTORY & TROUBLESHOOTING Keep useful results available for your next investigation. - Review diagnostic, stability, roaming, and LAN scan history - Notice new devices and changes in detected services - Access troubleshooting guides - View recent Wi-Fi health results through the Home Screen widget PRIVACY Local device discovery and fingerprint analysis run on your device. No account is required for basic network scanning. Whether you are troubleshooting a connection or checking what is connected to your LAN, WiFi Health Check makes your network easier to understand.
