Short for turnpike, Pike is a social media app that allows you to discover, save and organize experiences into private folders or public guides for others to see, like, comment, save and share. On Pike you can save and organize almost any experience into folders or guides: Your favorite hikes, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, clothing stores, parks, museums and more! It is super easy and takes seconds to create guides on Pike. Our app interface was designed by world-class designers who wanted to create something so easy, seamless and intuitive to use. Historically, every turnpike has a toll-booth that you have to get through in order to get to the other side. We loved that as an analogy. So when you’re sitting at home trying to figure out what to do, Pike becomes your go-to app for both discovering and experiencing. Key Features: Curated guides that are relatable, timely and useful: Scroll through a location-based Discovery Feed to find guides created by other Pike users, friends and tastemakers. Store all your recommendations in one place: Bookmark your favorite guides and experiences so you can quickly access them when you need them the most. Create, organize, save & share: Organize experiences and create your own guides for others to see or keep them private for your eyes only. Share your guide (or guides you discover) with friends whether they have the app or not Follow friends and tastemakers for trusted quality recommendations: Get inspired by following your friends who (signed up and) have taste and seeing what they recommend. Know what you’re looking for? Just type it in: Navigate through a familiar map-based interface that simplifies how you discover, save and organize experiences you come across in real life or on other social media platforms. Get reliable real-time information about an experience at-a-glance: View basics like address, hours, website and phone number along with details such as price range, photos, and others you followed who have also bookmarked that place. Have a friend in town who’s asking you for a recommendation? Don’t overthink it. Send friends guides you’ve already created or one that someone else did on Pike. Even if they don’t have the app, they’ll still be able to access it for free! A spot to fit all your vibes: Search for guides by typing in the vibe you’re looking for. Going somewhere? Change your location and search for guides in different cities, countries and other destinations. Plan your next trip using inspiration from other local guides you discover. No friends on Pike yet? No problem. Explore popular places recommended by the Pike community, where every suggestion is made with taste

Funqtion's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
