Match a Cup
Read full descriptionHide full description
Welcome behind the counter! Cups of strawberry matcha, ube, blue matcha, hojicha and mango matcha roll in on the belt – and you make sure every drink lands in the right tray. Tap a tray in the colour of the front cup and the drinks jump right in. A full tray gets served and frees its spot. But the counter only has four slots: watch the belt, plan ahead and work your way through the stacks before everything fills up. The further you get, the trickier it becomes. Mystery trays only show their colour once they are free. Linked trays only go to the counter together. Ice melts after a few orders, and some cups wear a lid. When it gets tight, the grabber, sort, shuffle and an extra slot help you out. Matchi, our strawberry matcha with a straw, keeps you company through 300+ levels – every fifth one is a tough nut with a triple reward. There is also a daily bonus, a level map and calm lo-fi music from the matcha bar. Match a Cup is free to play. It contains ads and optional in-app purchases (coin packs and "No ads"). No account needed – your progress stays on your device.

Verdict
Merge Fellas and Match a Cup are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Merge Fellas sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Match a Cup sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
