Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: FragranceX.com at 4.8 against FragFlex's 3.3. FragranceX.com also leads on ratings volume (3.2K vs 7) and review sentiment (46% vs 25%). FragFlex's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
FragranceX.com holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FragranceX.com has 3.2K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of FragranceX.com's written reviews are positive against 25% of FragFlex's.
FragranceX.com ships an update every 8 months, FragFlex fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
