Spare Change helps you securely donate more to the causes you care about. How it works: - Each time you swipe your card - Spare Change rounds your amount up to the nearest dollar, and sets the ‘spare change’ aside (so for a $3.70 transaction, you set $0.30 aside for charity). - Jump into the app, and securely donate your Spare Change to vetted non-profits working on a cause you’re passionate about. - We’ll give you detailed insights about the impact you made, messages from non-profits, and keep track of your tax documents. Our mission is to direct more resources to the causes that need them most. To that end, Spare change makes a commitment to: - Give you confidence your money is going to a good cause: we personally vet each non-profit we put on our platform. And we surface how we made our decision for each charity we chose. And if there’s a particular charity you’d like to donate your spare change to - that works too! We’ll show you the information we have, and let you make a decision. - Show you the impact you made: we know these causes are important to you. We follow up with each charity personally, to get detailed insights about the impact you made. We’ll also show you the impact the whole Spare Change community made, towards the cause you’re following.

Fundraising usually means candy bars, car washes, and asking the same people for money twice a year. Tailgate is a better version of that. Supporters buy a $25 digital discount pass and get a year of deals at local businesses. Unlimited use, no coupon book to lose, no expiration after one visit. The pass lives in Apple Wallet, so it's there when they need it. For the group raising the money, that means keeping far more of every dollar than a traditional fundraiser, without handling inventory, order forms, or cash. Fraternities and sororities use it. So do campus clubs, marching bands, club sports teams, and student organizations. Off campus it works the same way for youth leagues, travel teams, booster clubs, PTOs, schools, church groups, and local nonprofits. If your group needs to raise money and has people willing to share a link, it works. Here's what you actually do in the app. You see where you stand. Your sales, your group's total, and how your chapter ranks against every other group competing. It updates as passes sell, so you always know if you're ahead. You compete for real prizes. Campus competitions run all season. Groups raise money for local nonprofits while chasing house upgrades, social budget, and trips. The leaderboard tells you exactly how many passes you're from first. You share your link. Text it, drop it in the group chat, post it. Every sale gets credited to you automatically, so there's never a question about who sold what. You use your pass. Open the app, find a business, redeem in two taps. Or add the pass to Apple Wallet and skip the app entirely. Organizations can set up a group, invite members, and start selling the same day. Passes are purchased on our website. The app is where you use yours, track your standing, and share your link.
