Origin

Origin helps you know what you are buying. SCAN A BARCODE, SEE THE ORIGIN Point your camera at a product barcode and Origin shows the country tied to that barcode prefix โ flag, country name and the raw number โ in about a second. Keep scanning down the aisle without stopping between products. SEARCH THE COMPANY BEHIND THE BRAND Look up a company or a product by name and read what is on record: a short summary, the detail, and the categories it operates in. Or browse by category instead โ food, drinks, coffee, cosmetics, clothing, healthcare, household, technology, finance and more. EVERY ENTRY COMES WITH SOURCES No claim stands on its own. Each company links out to the references it is based on, so you can open the original, read it, and decide for yourself. UN VOTE CONTEXT Where it applies, a scan also shows how that country voted in the UN General Assembly on 27 October 2023 on a ceasefire in Gaza. HONEST ABOUT WHAT A BARCODE CAN TELL YOU A barcode prefix identifies the GS1 organisation that issued the number โ usually, but not always, the country where the company registered. It is not proof of where a product was manufactured. Origin says so plainly inside the app instead of pretending otherwise, and links to the references so you can check. WORKS OFFLINE The whole company database ships inside the app. No account, no sign-up, nothing to download โ it works in the shop with no signal. FREE, WITH NO ADS Origin is completely free. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no tracking. 48 LANGUAGES Available in 48 languages, with light and dark themes. FOUND SOMETHING WRONG? The data is community-checked and never finished. If an entry is wrong, out of date or missing, send us the company, the correction and a source and we will review it: origin.app.info@gmail.com
Barcode Country Scanner

Barcode Country reads a product barcode and shows the country or organization that registered it. The whole lookup runs on your device - point the camera or type the digits, and you see the result instantly, with no network and no account. Every barcode starts with a GS1 prefix tied to a country. Barcode Country matches that prefix against a built-in list and shows the country, drawn out as its own map silhouette. It also tells you when a code is not a country product - a store-internal code, a book (ISBN/ISMN), a periodical (ISSN) or a coupon - instead of guessing. It reads EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF-14, verifies the GS1 mod-10 check digit, and shows the canonical GTIN-14. For books it derives the ISBN-10 and the registration language area; for periodicals, the ISSN. Scan a GS1-128, GS1 DataBar, GS1 DataMatrix or GS1 Digital Link code and it decodes the data carried in the barcode itself - expiry date, batch or lot, serial number and weight - all on your device. What you get: - Live camera scanning, or a built-in keypad when there is no camera - The country as a map silhouette; reads EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF-14 - GS1 prefix breakdown, check-digit validation and the GTIN-14 form - ISBN-13/ISBN-10 and the registration area for books; ISSN for periodicals - GS1 Application Identifiers from GS1-128, DataBar, DataMatrix and Digital Link: expiry, batch, serial, weight - A history of every scan, grouped by day - swipe a row to delete - Copy the number to the clipboard in one tap - Optional web search (Google, Bing, Yandex, DuckDuckGo) when you want to look a product up online - English and Russian, and light/dark/system appearance Private by default. The barcode lookup happens entirely on your device. No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the app sends nothing on its own. The only time anything leaves your device is when you tap a web-search button, which opens your browser. A barcode's GS1 prefix shows where the code was registered, usually but not always where the product is made. Results are informational. Requires iPhone with iOS 26 or newer.
