DYKSO — Do You Know SOmeone? — connects you with people nearby who can help, sell, or buy. Post what you need or what you're offering, and DYKSO shows it to people close to you, sorted by distance from your ZIP code. LOOKING FOR SOMETHING? Need a ride to the airport, a used bike, someone to mow the lawn, or a tutor for your kid? Post it in seconds. Neighbors who can help will find you. HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER? Sell what you no longer need or offer a service you're good at. Add photos or a short video with Quick Capture and post instantly. SECURE PAYMENT: Every deal can be protected. With Secure Payment, the buyer pays through Stripe and DYKSO holds the money until the buyer confirms the item or service was delivered. If something goes wrong, either side can report an issue before funds are released and DYKSO reviews it. Funds release automatically after seven days if the buyer takes no action. A small protection fee (4%, capped at $50) covers this service; sellers pay a 3% processing fee and receive payouts to their bank through Stripe. Secure Payment is for physical goods and in-person services exchanged between DYKSO users. You're always free to pay outside DYKSO, but only Secure Payment transactions are protected. STAY IN CONTROL: Your email and phone number are never shown to other users. Messages sent by email go through DYKSO's relay, so neither party sees the other's address. Chat inside the app, or send a message by email without revealing addresses. Save posts to follow up later, share posts with friends, and rate the people you deal with. Report any post or user, block anyone you don't want to hear from, and delete your account any time from Settings. WHO IT'S FOR: DYKSO is for adults 18 and over who want a simpler, safer way to find help and make local deals. It starts in your neighborhood and works anywhere in the United States. Post something today — someone nearby is looking for exactly that.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: DYKSO at none against ByteBuy's shown. DYKSO also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). ByteBuy's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for ByteBuy against 5.0 for DYKSO. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ByteBuy has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
ByteBuy ships an update every 5 days, DYKSO every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
