The Self-Assessment for Fem/Powerment (SAFE) is a mobile health app empowering system-involved women to learn about all the elements needed for a healthy body and mind. The SAFE app helps users learn, assess, and improve the 8 elements of women’s health and well-being. An excellent resource for targeting women’s specific responsivity, case managers can work collaboratively with clients through SAFE to help motivate through the lens of health and wellness—as opposed to conditions of supervision. SAFE offers a menu of free, online interventions tailored to improve wellness—such as physical exercises/stretches, nutritional education, meditation prompts, career resources for people with a criminal conviction, safety planning, and many others. Users can track their progress over time within each element, promoting self-awareness and healing. Reflection Partner is a private, responsive space for making sense of lived experience. It helps a person hear what they are bringing, recognize connections between parts of their experience, and find language or perspective they can use. Reflection Partner can receive an experience, contribute a distinction, offer a bounded reading, or help describe the choices a person faces, according to what they ask for. The aim is a clearer relationship to a situation: what happened, why it matters, what remains uncertain, what responsibility belongs where, and what is still valuable. Useful help can preserve hurt, regret, affection, doubt, and real practical difficulty while making them easier to understand together. The person reflecting keeps authorship of what their experience means and what they do next. THE INTERVAL Between experience and judgment is an interval that often goes unnoticed. Reflection Partner helps a person work in that interval before deciding what the experience means, what it proves, or what should follow from it. INVITATION Reflection Partner listens for the kind of participation a message invites: whether the response should make what is already being thought more audible, or add something that has not yet been said. CLARIFICATION Clarification separates what is fused within the experience: feelings, judgments, events, meanings, impulses, and relationships.
