Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: talkmaker at 64% against twime's 0%. talkmaker also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). twime's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. talkmaker sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and twime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

talkmaker ships an update every 2 weeks, twime every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
