Nobody pushes this stone. The forest pushes back. FiveFold Fury is a rolling game for those who love a challenge. The forest took the stone mother’s youngest child. The mother put on her crown from the old war; she rolls on her own toward the heart of the forest. You steer and brake: the left and right halves of the screen turn her, the bottom strip brakes. There are no checkpoints. Every fall counts, and the layer starts over. All five layers and Today’s Path are free to play. There is no currency. Everything you can buy shows its contents up front. FIVE LAYERS The forest is five layers deep. Each layer is harder than the one before and brings a new weapon: • The Threshold: morning mist; walls of logs and roots, sliding walls, thorn fields, log bridges over chasms. • The Briars: dry noon; thorns that burst from the ground, logs that sweep the path. • The Mire: heavy fog; mire pits, slick moss, sagging rope bridges. • The Tangle: dusk; vines that reach out and grab, vine curtains, crumbling ground. • The Heart: night. All of the forest’s weapons together. At the entrance to each layer stands a stone from the old war, with a single line on it. The Briars’ reads: “The forest never forgets.” EVERY FALL COUNTS Chasm, Thorns, Timber, Mire, Vines: falls to each of the forest’s weapons are counted separately. Every layer has a time limit; when it runs out, the trail goes cold. The moment you fall, the stone’s face shows what happened. Your Record keeps all your falls, your attempts and how many times each weapon brought you down. TODAY’S PATH A new path every day, the same for everyone in the world: medium difficulty, about 40 seconds. You get five tries a day. Today’s Path has no ads and no skills. Tries are not sold and cannot be earned with ads. Finishers are ranked by time, the rest by how far they got. The day’s winner wears the Crown of the Day for a day, the week’s the Light of the Week for a week, the month’s the Crown of the Month for a month. You can race the shadows of the players on the board along the same path. Past days’ paths wait in the archive, unranked and unlimited. STANDING STONE The rankings are called the Standing Stone, in the game and on fivefoldfury.com alike. Every layer’s best times are there, and Today’s Path by day, week and month. Your stone warrior stands in your row; your rank is read from your stone: Sandstone, Granite, Basalt, Obsidian. Ranks, seals and titles can only be earned. You can watch the top 100 runs of every board from start to finish. Six of the 37 notches are hidden. GUARD, PEBBLE, EXTRA TIME Guard forgives the first hit. Pebble shrinks the ball for 10 seconds. Extra Time adds 5 seconds to the clock. Each can be used at most once per attempt. Every layer you have crossed gives Today’s share once a day: one Guard, one Pebble and one Extra Time. You can also get them by watching an ad, three times a day for each. WORKSHOP AND ATTIRE Your stone warrior stands in the menus and on the Standing Stone. In a run the stone is still a ball; she carries her crown, crest and pattern. Rank stones, the Stonecrop Crown and the relics of the old war can only be earned. The Workshop holds the stonemason’s work: set crowns and four single crowns, crests, patterns and carvings, faces for the moment of a fall, five lights for the layers. None of them affects gameplay. Pop-up ads are removed with a one-time purchase; ads watched for skills are optional. Skill packs, attire pieces, Faces and Lights are in-app purchases in the Workshop. The solstice crowns are in the Workshop only during the December and June solstice weeks each year. Purchases are not shared through Family Sharing.
