Literature by the sea. 6. Tarragona Route. Women's voices. 7. Miquel Martí i Pol Route. The poet who speaks of the people. 8. The Count Arnau Route. The legend that endures. 9. Palma Route. Words of women writers. 10. Valldemossa Route. The seductive place. These routes offer an immersive experience that combines literature, cultural heritage, and technology. The connection between literature and the natural environment is key to ecological transition, and the use of new technologies in literary walks becomes an effective educational and tourism resource. The app allows users to discover the places that inspired literary works and fosters an emotional connection with the surroundings through enriching experiences With the RuTIC app, you can travel through time and space via the words of writers who captured the essence of landscapes and cities. Start your journey in Altea, the "house of the sea," where Carmelina Sánchez-Cutillas will immerse you in a universe where memory and fiction intertwine. In Castalla, Enric Valor's work will guide you through a path of memory, language, and landscape. In Xàtiva, the poetry of Vicent Andrés Estellés will connect you with the elements of the earth, turned into verses of great civic intensity. Stroll through Valencia and discover the city from the perspective of novelists who have explored its ever-changing character, from Hemingway to Ferran Torrent, on a route that dialogues with the essence of antitourism. By the sea in Borriana, let yourself be captivated by the words of local authors, inspired by the beauty of this maritime landscape, in a route that combines literature and nature. Women also raise their voices in these routes, such as in Tarragona, where the Part Alta echoes with female literature revealing its roots. In Palma, follow in the footsteps of women writers who made the old town the setting of their works, with eyes full of irony and fascination. The people's poet, Miquel Martí i Pol, will make you experience everyday life with an overwhelming humanity on his route through Roda de Ter, while the legend of Count Arnau will guide you through Sant Joan de les Abadesses. Finally, in Valldemossa, travel through the 19th and 20th centuries with George Sand, Rubén Darío, or Santiago Rusiñol, all fascinated by the beauty and history of this Mediterranean town. The RuTIC app (www.rutic.uv) was created by a multidisciplinary and inter-university team linked to the Literary Geographies research group (GIUV2021-501), based at the University of Valencia, within the research project "Mediterranean literature and landscape: application of new technologies for the design of literary walks (RuTIC)" TED2021-129792B-I00, funded by NewGeneration funds. The app works as follows: a) The user is guided to the first point of the route using Google Maps. b) The GPS detects when the user arrives at the route point. c) The app shows a reference image that the user must find with the phone's camera. d) Once found, the augmented reality content is displayed around the user. e) Simultaneously, a narration of the associated literary text is played. f) The user can walk around and interact with the visual creations. g) After each point, another narration indicates the next destination until the route is completed.
